The whole French team is to be congratulated for a match that they have dominated for 80 minutes out of 90, preventing Brazil from deploying their football. But Thierry Henry is the one who pushed us in semi-finals with this fantastic goal.
As I had been telling fellow Gnomedexers and worldcup followers – thanks again to Chris Pirillo for showing the games on the second day – France could beat Brazil if they believed in themselves. That’s what they did.
Allez les Bleus! Two more matches.

Christian,
Zidane did it all! did you see how he placed that ball for Henry on the free kick? Just where it should have been.
Zizou is the hero of the game, he played unbelievably!

Sigh. Was tough for those rooting for Brazil, but gotta hand it to the French, you just played better. Bonne chance!

Well done to the French team, they have turned around their performance from the early games and played the best I have seen any team play in the world cup (although I usually only get to watch highlites). It was a pleasure to watch the French - they are my favourite team now to win the world cup!
